Update on member of our community fighting cancer – Bob de Jong

After a successful fundraising event where the local community raised over 70,000 baht to help Bob fight his battle against cancer, Bob headed back to Singapore to get undergo his lifesaving colon operation. Although the surgery went well the surgery was not without its complications which pushed up the price. Since then Bob suffered another setback when a breakdown resulted in a total system shut down. The doctors worked hard for several hours to stabilize Bob, eventually they managed it and put Bob into a light coma in order for him to recover.
Bob is now awake and waiting to come off kidney dialysis as his body starts to function unaided. While his recovery is great news Bob is now faced with even larger bills he is unable to pay.
