Weather warning from the Thai Meteorological Department

The active low pressure is moving to the lower South of Thailand. During 8-10 November, more rain with gust is expected over Chumphon past south, and some possible torrential rain occurs. The wind waves will become stronger by 2-4 meters high. People of both the Gulf shore (Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phattalung and Songkhla) and the Andaman Sea (Ranong, Pangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun) should beware of the severe weather and inshore surge. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.
During 8-12 November, another high pressure from China will extend to upper Thailand leading to thunderstorm over the North and Northeast. Morning cool will follow, together with a drop by 2-3 °C. The northeast monsoon will gain strength across the Gulf and the South of the country.
The advisory will be effect on 8 November 2014
