Juicing: Not Only For Weight Loss. Health, Energy, Beauty included!
You probably heard a few times already about juice diet, juice detox, juicing for weight loss. Do you ask sometimes what’s it all about? I can tell you…
Juicing will help you to lose weight fast and in a healthy way. It will help you to detox and cleanse your system, it will clear your skin and make it shine and so much more… It will supply you with everything your body needs nutritionally in a very short time. This may sound too good to be true, but it is true.
A lot of people had massive success following a juice diet. Some were able to get off their medications, lower their blood pressure and cholesterol levels, others felt more alive than they have ever felt in their entire life!
But all the people agree that juicing is VERY effective to lose weight.
But juicing IS NOT only all about weight loss and weight loss. You can be skinny and still be sick, low on energy and not enjoying enjoy your life.
As you might know we had quite a successful Juicy Weight Loss Challenge a week ago.
But here I also want to share another story, story of a woman (Cara) who started juicing this week not to lose weight, Cara has her own reasons, along with doubts and expectations. We will give you updates on Cara’s journey:
Knowing that I already weighed around 55 kg and losing weight really not a priority, I felt like a bit of fraud to even be interested in this program. However, I knew my digestive system was in need of some sort holiday, spring clean and then hopefully a bit of a reboot to my food choices at the end of it. Having read about Anzhela’s juice fast on Samui Times I was interested, yet slightly sceptical, to know who she was and what her program was about. I decided it was worth finding out and on meeting Anzhela instantly got on and felt she was able to understand what I was in need of.
I’m a relatively healthy being with an interest in nutrition and have always been active and practise different sports. So the training sessions with Anzhela were another plus as it is always interesting to experience different trainers’ methods. Anzhela seems down to earth and able to understand different people’s needs and what will benefit them in the long run. This doesn’t seem like a program that is meant for a quick fit then tumble back to where you started. It was also really encouraging to meet someone providing a program that actually reflects the way they live.
Replacing meals for juices doesn’t feel like a hardship, in a way it makes life easier, and the juices that Anzhela has provided so far have been really delicious. I suffered a headache on the first afternoon but was able to get through and enjoy my first training session that evening. Day 2, I don’t feel hungry and am looking forward to what the rest of the week will bring!
Is the Juice Diet Healthy?
The juice diet is very safe and healthy, of course, if you do it right.
Juicing or juice diet is a process of consuming fresh fruit, vegetable and greens, grasses(wheatgrass) juices instead of eating your meals. It may seem difficult but it’s actually easier(especially if someone does the juicing for you:) and faster(when you don’t have to chew your food and prepare it you get so much more free time!).
You give your digestive system a break and get a boost of energy because your body doesn’t have to digest all those heavy meals you used to have.
You lower the toxicity levels in your system and your body starts to get rid of the fat easily because that’s where a lot of the toxins are stored!
The Juice Diet Myths.
People often ask me if that’s really a good idea to juice vegetables, fruits and greens instead of eating them.
Think about this way: in one juice you can put an apple, cucumber, carrots, beets, spinach, celery, kale etc. How much time, energy will it take you to consume the same amount of fruits and vegetables, chew them properly in order to absorb all the nutrients, digest and assimilate all the goodness in those fruits and veggies?
Most of the people don’t even have a healthy digestive tract to efficiently consume that big amount of fiber to access all the nutrients. Yes, our bodies do need some fiber to function properly BUT you DO GET soluble fiber in juices, besides I do blend in some avocados and bananas to juices. The whole process of juicing just makes it so much easier for your body to absorb all the nutrients.
The juice/smoothie diet is all about efficient way to consume a lot of so much needed vitamins and minerals! That you body might not even be able to get otherwise.
BUT…you might say…you can’t drink only juice! You’ll starve yourself! – Not at all!
The juices do fill you up! It’s not like drinking a glass of water that only fills your stomach. Juices have tons of vitamins and nutrients. And that is what your body really craves for when it signals you to eat! Your body doesn’t need your stomach to be full, your body needs all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients, not so much calories(although you get enough of those too) – as you made to believe!
