White male diver found dead near Pattaya with his throat cut

On Tuesday the 16th of December at around 2.30 police received reports that the body of a white, western male had been found. The man was wearing a black wet suit and diving fins and was found tied to a concrete pole had his throat cut.
The unidentified male is approximately 150 cm in height.
Once retrieved from the water the body was sent to Banglamuang Hospital for an autopsy. So far investigators have no idea of the cause of death, who he is or why he was tied to a concrete pier pole in the ocean.
The police in Pattya have asked anybody who has information with regards to who the man is or why he may have died to come forward. They are also urging guest house and hotel owners to check for missing guests.
