Wife brutally murdered in front of astonished onlookers in Samut Prakan shopping mall

Police have taken a 38 year old Thai man into custody after he stabbed his wife in a busy shopping mall in Samut Prakan yesterday. The horrific incident, during which the man stabbed his wife multiple times, was carried out in front of astonished shoppers who dragged them man away from his bleeding wife.
According to reports on Thai social media sites the couple had ended their relationship a little over a week ago. Assailant Jaipuk Onchan yesterday confronted his wife as she went about her daily work at the Ponds cosmetic counter. Eye witnesses said he put his wife in a headlock when she refused to communicate with him before launching into a brutal attack during which he stabbed her in her abdomen and her stomach. The attack only stopped when shoppers in the Big C store pulled the man off.
Victim Jinkanya was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment however she was pronounced dead several hours after her arrival.
The murder that was caught on Big C CCTV has gone viral on social networks within Thailand. The couple have three children together.
