Workers from Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos have health checks in Samui Hospital

On July 3 Journalists reported that the Nathon hospital in Samui opened its doors to dozens of migrant workers from Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos for the medical examinations required for them to acquire permits to work on the island legally. The examinations include tests for infectious diseases. The tests, it was said, will also give employers confidence that their staff were fit to perform well in their jobs and aid the prevention of infectious disease among the work force, often previously brought in by illegal workers.
