Ya Ba use becoming rampant even among young teens, report Thai media

Thai media has said that use of amphetamines or Ya Ba is becoming increasingly widespread among Thai teens.
Frustrated residents of a community in the Sawee area of Chumporn called in the media after police and local authorities failed to curb drug taking just 100 meters from a school’s gates.
Sanook went to the area and found six teens smoking and plastic bottles adapted for drug taking scattered about in a secluded area near the school grounds.
They surmised the 13-15 year olds were skipping classes and into drug taking.
Residents want the media to force the authorities to take action as the scourge of drugs increasingly wreaks havoc in communities across the country, reported Sanook.
