Yet another balcony fall/suicide in Pattaya

Yesterday morning police in Pattaya were called to a central Pattaya Condominium after receiving reports that a British had apparently committed suicide.
When they arrived at the scene they found the lifeless body of Mr. Philip Lee Atkins at the base of Building A of the Nirah Grand Condo in Soi Arunothai with electrical cables around his neck. The Londoner had suffered fatal injuries after falling from his 4th floor balcony.
According to a neighbor, Khun Jiraporn,47, Mr. Atkins wife had recently left him causing the man great distress, he had also been drinking excessively she said.
The police investigating the case found no signs of struggle or foul play, however they did discover a collection of electric cables that Mr. Atkins had sued to create a noose. Evidence points to him attempting to hang himself from his own balcony, and falling to the ground in the process. It was not clear whether he had died before or after the fall.
