A mother and daughter visiting relatives in Udon Thani decided to make a detour on their way back to Phuket to visit their son and brother who they had not heard from in a year.

Younger sister takes mum to visit her son - they find a skeleton in the mosquito net | News by Samui TimesNothing seemed out of order at the house except that no one had done any cleaning for a long time.

An upstairs bedroom was locked from the inside.

Patrawan, 34, and her mum decided to go and stay in a resort on Tuesday night and on Wednesday morning they asked the Phoo Yai Ban (village elder) near the house in Nong Bualamphu province to help them force the door.

Inside they found the skeletal remains of a man. They believe it must be Sarawuth, 36, their relative.

He was lying in bed in the mosquito net.

Patrawan explained that the family moved away a year ago to work in Phuket. They left Sarawuth alone in the house and had not heard from him since then.

Na Klang police think that the victim had been dead for at least six months. He was apparently seen by neighbors in early March.

They could not say how he died. An autopsy is being carried out.
